Sigh its all too familar to me now. I can already
see the similarity to it, i shld have guess it from
the start. And if all goes along what history had
presented to me before the end i'm afraid is nt far away.
As much as the entities are different, they are
placed under the same situation and circumstances
and have reacted the same way thus far, so what are the
odds of the final concluding chapter? As much as
I don't want to see its final hours coming, it will
come. Only a matter of time now, tomorrow? nxt week?
next month? next year? next decade? or maybe until
we grow old and die together as One( which i'd prefer)

Thoughts are my weakness and my strength. Damn thesse
thoughts of mine....

Whee ok this is abit late but POP LO!!!
Well pop was definitely a memorable experience
being part of it this was how i felt. Even though
we knew that its onli 2 mths and that we have 1yr8mths
more to go, but at the end of it everyone felt
as if army has ended, i'm sure at the back
of our minds everyone knew the sad fact.
But no one cared really! This was what i saw
after the parade, grudges disapearred, all forms
of irriation and unhapinness with each other just
vanished. We were all too happy in the occasion
that we were able to juz forgive and forget
all the screw ups people made. That was the miracle
i saw after the parade, when we took the photograph
definitely a beautiful picture painted, one that is pure
and untainted by any sore feelings.

ok the angle of the camera is pretty bad but better than nth!

So what have i done after pop. Well basically
i've been paddling again! Twice a day, it really
feels great to be back training again, haha but the
juniors have improved got trashed quite badly =P
But thats ok! Anyway training has kinda taken
its toll on me, my body's feeling very sore from
resistance training. I'll be taking a break from
training tomorrow by order of Mdm!(of course Mdm's
a smokescreen).

Oh oh and i'm gonna be the coxswain for the girls
dboat during their national schools which is on 23rd
Sat at Bedok. So whoever reads this go down to support
them k? Haha. But when Shaun asked me to be the coxswain
instinctively i asked who was supposed to be the one
and he said Winnie, immediately I had the feeling
oh shit and i felt damn bad for in a way "stealing"
it away from her..Sigh..Sorry Winnie! =(

Oh and i heard my team girls are having a sleepover
tonight at some hotel..you heard me HOTEL!!
Rich futts haha hope you girls enjoy urselves, and
pass me the paddles soon! Ur juniors need to use them
and dun worry they'll be in good condition, if not
you can juz come back and scold them. Oh toking about
dboat the guys learn some new stroke, heard its damn
effective but also very aerobically tiring because the
pace is rather fast.

Anyways more about life recently. After passing out
many people have been asking me where am i being posted
to. Everyone's first question was OCS? Well of cos i said
i didnt know and i did not want to get in there. Their first
reaction would be huh y? or siao ah? But now let me pose
you this question for you guys out there what is the
reason that you want to get into OCS? When i ask
people that many cant give me the answer immediately
they'll say stuff like cos gd lor! or why not?
But typically it'll be because of the money, but
folks why chase after such materialistic things?
Probably thats why there had been an article
abt officers being incompetent, even i personally felt
that some officers in OCS dun even deserve to be
an officer, they dun even act like a leader
just because they went thru 9mths of shit, they deserve
it? All that shows is that they're capable of going
thru a tough life, and not that they're a good leader.
So for those who'd be reading this post and hv yet to enter
the army. Ask yourself this, what is the main reason that
you want to get into OCS? Is it the real desire to lead
men? Or izzit the prestige that u'll attain? Think about it

On the lighter note, gonna watch fantastic 4 nxt week!!!!!
Yay! Didnt really appreciated the first show, didnt you
guys felt that the storyline was all cramped up, like there
wasnt a totally nice plot, the flaw was covered up by
fantastic 4 itself and also by jessica. I dunno
i seem to notice such stuff more often nowadays =)

Wow! 9 weeks are almost up and POP is next tue!
Come to think of it i've not touch this blog
for a damn long time. So well here i am!

Alright BMT experience for me have definitely in
a way change my character a little, in a way it has
really allowed me to view things in different aspects
and allowed me to think alot more in tiring situations.

Well achievements for me, would mainly be my IPPT.
Haha became the company's best pt. And I've nv ever
ran a timing in my entire life, even when i was in canoeing,
clocked a 8.41 for my final ippt.

Well BMT for one wasnt as tough as i had pictured it to be.
It was definitely a fun experience, getting to shoot
real guns, throw live grenades getting to gay around a little.
And of cos getting close to nature, to the point that i hate
field camps....felt so cut out off from the world.

But one thing that i'm definitely thankful about army is
that it has really made me treasure my loved ones more.
Took me away from them too long that i wanna spend
more time with them. Kinda ironic like when i was still
schooling i would kinda like avoid talking to my
family. But now in army i would really love the talks
we have with each other, and i would try to even have longer
talks with them.

Well i definitely had my fair share of things in BMT, experienced
confinement because i misfired....(but during confinement i played
ps2, watch dvd and slp on sofa). Seen "Casper" (u can come and
ask me abt that personally if u still dunno).
Had a standby company line! which extended to the parade square...
Had operation ninja which my sgt calls it(simply
means cleaning perm staff block toilet...)
which all sums up to a shit load of saikang. Also seen a
guy called DECEMBER, no kidding ok! I am not making that up!
it came out right from his very own mouth!

Before i entered the army i had in mind that i
wanted to cheong for OCS, but den again seeing
the crap lucas is going thru, i gotta pass! Well
it is true that u'll pass out with pride and prestige
and all that honour thing. But i can do without that
i wanna be a PTI, wah 8-5 job! And i heard that its
also very physically demanding :) so officers u can have
your prestige for all i care, while i stay at home and watch
my TV. But main purpose for all that free time is to carry
on training, like gym or possibly rowing. Army is like my
pitstop for canoeing, i still do train on weekends whenever
possible, gonna cheong for it once i'm out of army.

So gonna have 2 weeks of block leave! Hopefully i get
posted to sispec, for my PTI cause which i hope is available.
So i'm planning to train twice a day, to catch up wif the juniors
who are like trashing me now, so you buggers give me 2 weeks
and i'll be back! well hopefully i'm nt NATO. Oh yeah i need
to shop too, getting bored of my clothes, and fantastic 4!!
Whee gonna watch that next week i tink?

army. We are studying and studying and have
test test test all the time.

I actually think i study more stuff here in
OCS then in AC. LOLs

That how everyday life is like.

And so many little things to do that sucks up
all the little precious time you have, doing
up you own ( rather big ) notic board, etc etc.

Social night is coming, i'll have to find a
date ( or face possible death ) and SOON(which
is supposed to be now but i'm still too lazy).

Why can't my date just drop from the sky.

Army shows your true character. It doesn't matter
if you can do a gazillion pullups, or run mighty
fast. Its the little things that count. Just touch
your heart and ask yourself that when you are exhausted
and completely shagged out, do you sit there and wait/ask
for someone to fill your bottle for you, or do you stand
up and offer to fill your buddies' bottles for them? I've
done the latter... have you?

Hi there!
haven't updated ever since i entered OCS cause life is so terribly busy. Just booked out not too long ago and have to bookin in about 2 more hours time :( Finally handed over my appointment as cpc (cadet platoon commander) after serving a hectic 3 weeks (should have been 2 weeks max). Its not the greatest feeling having to run around shouting out commands and making sure that they are done. Its worst that the last week had field camp. Had food poisoning the day we returned, i puked out my dinner while cleaning my weapon and had diarrhoea through the night.I felt really weak, and had to fall out during last parade. I really couldnt take it anymore the next morning and had to go to the medical centre where the doctors placed me on a drip. Another guy from my wing got the same illness too. It took 6 jabs (agonising ones, cause they were trying to shift the needle around to look for my vein :( ) to get the needle in, cause my veins are said to be rather tiny. So my arms on each side each has 3 tiny holes now. LOL. I was on the drip for about 5 to 6 hours. The medics were really nice and they got us food and drinks. Felt so much better after the drip. There is so much happening each day that everyday tend to pass by in a blur. The only thing i can remember about each day is that it was a tiring one. My mini block break is coming soon next week and i might just ask you seniors out for a meal. Try to keep your saturdays free ok!

Good Friday today! but wasnt that gd for my knee...
For some reason my right knee starts to hurt like
crap now. Probably cos i ran too much or maybe cos
of my worn out shoes too. Oh wells i hope that it'll
get well by Monday! Monday's the day man! NS life!

I'm gonna row tmr, i cant take it! I'm somehow on fire
haha i'm seriously considering to be a weekend warrior

Well had a change of plans tonight, no more supper at

the cashcard! WAH so paid 2 bucks for a free admission!
Sian...Oh wells haha.

The more i distant myself the more i find myself being
drawn towards it. I have such the urge to come back to

5 more days till I enter the new life, life w/o hair! Haha~
A regimental life, life on a resort situated on a beautiful
island in singapore called Pulao Tekong

Now folks~ this resort is going out at a very special promotion

U are even able to get in touch with nature, and learn the different
kinds of vegetation that exist in Singapore. Trying the plants on is

no one can see you if u're squating in the bush~

WAIT theres more! Other than the lush vegetation, beautiful scenic
waters, we have.....creepy crawlies. YES! U heard me! We offer all
sorts of insects, not just any ordinary insects.....HUGE insects
we have centipedes almost 30 cm long and 4cm thick! If u're lucky
u'll even get to see our gigantic collection of spiders.

Now do enjoy the beautiful walks that u'll take on along with the
rest of the folks there! U'll even get to learn some songs too!

Haha alright i feel so retarded now, just felt like writing those
for fun! probably cos its now coming to 1am and i just watched
letters of iwo jima. Anyway i'm kinda looking forward to NS, at
least i'll have stuff to do and wont be lazing around doing nothing.
Anyway i doubt once i enter the army i'll have time to visit the team
i'll probably be too darn tired, and slp my sat away~

I've finally finished the first phrase of my army life :D
In these short 9 weeks, i've experienced many things
i've never expected before. But no matter if its laughter,
punishments, sweat, pain or anything else, a band of
brothers stuck together. Thanks guys, for accompanying

3 more days to my POP, having been through so much pain, laughter and excitment, its hard to put all these in words. The crazy ass tribal dance,Falcon coy and Eagle coy shouting cheers for each other from building to building, doing punishments for stupid reasons, and so much more.

I will miss this little island,

where it is 1 degree hotter then Singapore

where almost everything is a chargeable offence (lol just kiddin)

I'm proud that i hv alot of relatives, Gd job

today, learned a new game called jinrami or sth
like that finally learned the family game heh.

Ah wells been thinking about this issue for a while
now, think its probably time i take a break from the
team and just leave them alone and stop bothering
them. Guess cos theres probably nothing more i can
do to help, i have already exhausted all my abilities
for them already. Besides they have coaches and
grand seniors who are much more experience,
knowledgeable in all sense juz much better. Guess
its time that i probably really juz enjoy the rest of
my time, as in really enjoy it on myself! Unlike what
i use to go down to mac wif them watch them train,
train wif them, help them out until the wee hours
where i'd have my dinner at like 9pm? Its time...

P.s. sometimes i dunno whether what i'm doing is
really appreciated by the team, or they juz find me bothersome.

p.p.s all i wanted to do was to come down as a snr to
bring my jnrs to the nxt phase, because i nv had my
snrs coming down to help us out.

Hi all! these 2 weeks has been mega busy
for me! 2 outfields in 2 weeks, so its like
approx 9 days out of 14 that i didnt shower!
so many wild boars on the last 3 days! so
exciting lol. learned so much during these
few days outfield, even on how people work,
how people become selfish and stuff when they
are shagged out and stuff. OH, and the wiildddd
boars are huge!!!! and fast!!! and their skin so
thick cuz they just walk through the wires like
nothing ( the wire normally would cut you easily
if u are not careful )

There's some bug spreading around these few
days and many people are getting sick. on
one day almost half of the platoon (25 people)
are on the sick list. i didnt got heat, but i puked
the night before outfield probably from heat
exhaustion from the day's activities. Army is
enjoyable until now i guess, the the CNY that
is coming means a long 4 days bookout!! Yeah!!

Really hope to meet all the seniors to have a nice
meal, was thinking of CNY but its just too packed...
sigh maybe next time.

Finally picked up those running shoes today!
Quite proud of myself i did twice the distance
of my normal runs. And considering the fact
that i've not run for about a month, other
than the cooper test on monday where i got
trashed by my jnrs completely haha. Did
about 9km run.....ok it was more of a jog.
Well we gotta learn how to walk(jog) before
we run right? =D and i took less than 45mins!
YAY! Well my legs feel damn wobbly now haha.
I must find the determination to continue my
runs, and OH! i found out where the SAFRA is
gonna be built and so near my house la!

Oh i just found out, i cant really do monkey bars,
i was like struggling to get across it! Oh my
i should spend more time playing at the playground! HAHA

The jnrs...oops i mean snrs now had their
cross-country today, quite pleasing results
not bad i must say. But must remember
we are canoeist/kayakers nonetheless!

I need to get new shoes! Need ta do some shopping
at Queensway my shoes are seriously worn out
almost all the rubber sole is gone! Left with the
white part onli nt to mention the number of holes
on my shoes better get a new pair if not i may
risk injuring my own legs.

Hi all!! i really miss you guys!!!

Army is..... tough... yet not tough....
physically wise.... is.. NO
i like did only 40 pushups together
in the last 2 weeks??? i've really
become so much fatter inside.
Its like they really stuff you with
food every few hours. waking up at
5.15 everyday is also not a fun thing to
do. The worst is probably that your every
move is confined within a very small boundry.
you cant even step out of the building to
do your own running or something.

Everything is also done in a rush, reason
being the normal 12 weeks BMT in cut
short to 9. It all mentally draining.. but
luckily all my bunkmate are great!
partly being everyone from JC. Lots
of really smart and fit people in my section,
like raffles and HC. Oh and like 4 canoeist in
my platoon!!! me, kat teng PJ, mic
from CJ which are both in the same finals as me.

LOL nice.

I really think army is quite ok, and that it can
even be quite enjoyable (NOt to many though),
although many a times it could be quite mentally
draining.

haha, really hope to see you guys again soon,
will be booking in tomorrow evening, for the
start of a 6 days no showering, mosquito infested,
muddy and sweaty trip. ( not to mention no lights,
HP or any other things. Yes, no such thing as a sleeping
bag too)

Went to row in the morning today, and was invited by Shaun

to train wif nus team. So why not? Just to give it a shot and

to see how its like. I was totally reminded of the days i was

training as an AC rower, because the prog was pretty shiong,

or maybe i was juz weak( i'm pinning on the latter). Need to

work on my endurance and my stroke too, i found it quite hard

to keep to my stroke when i'm doing sprints or fartleks need

to work out the discipline to keep it. They seem like nice ppl,

thats probably cos 2 of them are my snrs. Well nus sure has

a better social skills than ntu haha. Because i foresee that the

trend of national rowers joining nus will still continue, so ntu

better buck up! But still i have not decided which to go, nus?

because of the canoeing team? ntu? Because its near my

house?(Just a few bus-stops away). Ah wells still got NS

to go through and gotta wait for my results to come out

which i'm nt having high hopes for.

But it doesnt really matter all glory to God.

Outings, shopping trips, movies, sports,
class reunion chalet, countdowns, computer
games, TV, korean dramas. There's still
so much i want to do! Will crash orentation
tomor. Just bought a Discman. Its really
Old school but i have to cause MP3s are
banned in camp. Actually i realised that
the sony discman looks really pretty! Also
the batt output is fantastic! 43hrs! and with
the external batt port with 2 additional 2 AA
batts it becomes 120hrs! How cool is that!
Especially since my headphones saps batteries
like a hungry SUV. Like even the most
efficent MP3 i can think of is only 20hrs max.
Not a big problem if you could charge it anyway
But the camp bans chargers :( How weird is
that?

omg, Andrew and sheng was back from camp but
i didnt manage to contact them to chat :(

They say most people who go to ns would at
least come out swearing. I wonder if i would
turn out like that?

Arh!!! i still cant jump far enough for my ippt
gold!! i want that $200 bucks bonus!!

Just upgraded my com with a new powerbox
and graphics card. Thanks Bro for paying for
the card :)

As christmas approaches, and so is the new
year. I wonder where fate will lead me to next.
There is just so much i really want to do. And
the more i think about it, more and more
questions and uncertainty starts to surface.
I dont think i would normally think this way,
but the 2 years i am to spend in ns is certainly
going to leave a gap in my life.

- will the seniors still be in contact?
- how will it feel like to meet female friends
again after ns and realising they are 2 years
your senior.
- will i still come back to help the team?
- Looking at the way local Unis train for
dragonboat, which i dont agree on, will
i make myself suit the training so i can
row again or will i just not bother?
- will i even try out for another D'boat
team?
- With the money earned in ns, I will definitely
return to my first love, cycling. If so, will i take
up the xc dicipline or the road dicipline?
- If i were to train for races, would i still have time
to take part in other activities? eg. canoe polo
- How will i be like after NS?
- After placing relationships behind my mind for
these few years, will i be ready to have someone
in my life again?
- What will i expect of myself?
- how will the team be like 2 years later?
- will i be still in contact with the grandseniors?
- Will i still be as happy-go-lucky?
and so many many more.

So many questions.

Only the next 2 years will answer them.

bag. The girl was like scolding the
guy all the way out. really scary.

quiet and followed. They were
like at most 15? vicious.

Well sent my sis off to germany today!! Haha i was still joking with her saying when she come home she cant find her room anymore, because i would hv knocked down the partition between our rooms!! HAHA but knowing my sis, that fast my and ultra speed shooting mouth reflexes of hers, she ended up saying, "Go ahead! u're juz helping me do my job onli. Had out all guys christmas shopping
trip yesterday. But Yiren was
uncontactable, and danny in Brunie
Spent the whole afternoon shopping
around for gifts but it kinda ended up
with me and desmond buying stuff.
I bought quite a lot of presents for
my whole family. Since they dont really
celebrate christmas, and i dont really have
anywhere to hind the presents, i gave it
to them on that day itself

A mouse for bro, cute water dispenser
for sis, a drifit shirt for dad and a korean
dramafor mum (which happens to be the s
ame drama which just started on that night.
on VV channel 55, starhub. i ended up watching
it with my mum till 5am. and yes this whole
afternoon too, i'm glad to say its finishing cuz its
more tiring then running. lol)

Just booked tickets to Curse of the golden
flowers a moment ago to watch with Ruth.
The papers were splashed with the photos
of gongli today.

even at like 40. amazing. jay looks
a bit weird with his hair up, cuz his eyes
are kinda squinty and forehead a bit too big?

Left first after the game with the juniors
for the beach outing. Well its my first
class outing this 2 years, and I felt kinda
bad always having to skip them due to
my commitments.

It was a nice outing for me, making new
friends with the people at the beach,
and playing almost every sport there
is to play. And the sun too :) I missed it so
much ever since training was over.
Watched the musical fountain afterwards,
and it was really creepy from what I think.
The music resembled some brainwashing
teletubies music. Really creepy... and there
were all this extremely random and
disturbing images too. lol.

Went back to Vivo for dinner, but being
extremely indecisive, and having most
shops closed, we only settled for dinner
at Carl's Jr at like 11. Went home really
tired, aching, but contented :)

Weejin taught me something i never
knew though. How to catch someone's
attention. Just shout some random
person's name. The person should turn
over to see what you are shouting about.
Cause apprently there was
this weird girl who shouted "JUNJIE!"
at me. Well i guess it wasnt really
effective, I didnt even noticed.
Like only Weejin noticed anyway.
The world is really a weird place.

Oh, one of the new friends I made,

And Desmond, I kinda have your experience
even if it was just a while. I think its partially
cuz we devoted 2 years of our life to this team,

we started rowing. And there's still the seniors!

Went back to sch today to play frisbee with the juniors, and realise that i should probably back out and leave them alone, as it is not my team so i guess felt pretty left out. So i decided to juz go home rather than joining them for lunch. Although many may think that its quite ironic for me as I am the one that spends alot of time with them, but yes i do feel left out. Even though its just a age difference of 1 year? But what i feel is really alot. I guess that applies to alot of grand snrs as well, maybe thats y so many of them dun ever come back to help out. Cant blame them sorta understand how they feel.

Well on the lighter side of things 2nd lesson of driving today, finally got the hang of it, and realise that cant purely juz listen to the instructor gotta experiment and try things out by myself to really get the hang of it.

Didnt go to church today, in the middle of the night i had diarrhoea, 1st time i woke up from my dreams juz to bomb the toilet, dunno whether izzit the nasi lemak, noodles or the soya bean drink.

Anyway i have been meeting alot of my juniors lately, they all seem to remember me as their CS, well i was the company's first CS, but the sad thing was i couldnt remember their names, all of them could still go Desmond CHHHNNNNGGGG somehow they always like to emphasise on my surname wif some wierd slang. And all i could do was juz go "Hey!! Hello!" in my mind i'm like thinking oh crap who's he? Whats his name?? Den aiya nvm lah cant rem juz go along. Haha maybe i shld go back to boonlay one of these days to visit them and see how things are running now, kinda miss the life there. SLACK!! and i remembered the sch magazine had this page full of quotes that was supposedly meant to motivate others or like tips to do well. And den i saw my name!! But the quote was sth like continuous practice or sth like that. Den me and my classmates were like HUH?!?! Thats becos my motto all along was aiya slack lah dun worry. I was a well known slacker. My teachers always thought that i was the most hardworking student in class but well fact is i'm nt i'm probably the worst!! Lets see..... for maths well Mrs Ng, i have nv done any of your work b4, i've always copied. Mr Yip you always said that u've done ur phy tys many many times over b4 O lvl and u even made us or sorta "encourage" us to do likewise. But fact is i've nv completed it b4 and i've nv really DO it i juz read thru the pages and like ok i'm done! For chem likewise, bio was different i really had to memorise those crap. For SS haha that was my first tactical planning, I actually plan out the safest and easiest chapters to study and shared it with my classmates and guess what it worked!! =D

But those were secondary sch days...JC?? Ha so different.. lets see Mr Yip and Mr. Daniel Khor hmmmm both can get pretty scary when they're angry, but DK juz hv mood swings and his jokes are like sooo nt funny but we juz laugh to appease him haha.

Oh i'm planning to get my hands on a PSP, gonna head down to sim lim square with my cous one of this days.

Didnt row at all today, why? Partly cos i wanna take a break from the events that happen the past few days. But BUT the main reason is because i had my first driving lesson!! HAHA so fun!! Well nt exactly fun lah the uncle was quite naggy, but i suppose its gd lah, and realise i have a bad habit of nt putting both hands on the steering wheel :P And i didnt know that the accelerator pedal was so sensitive press a little can hear the engine go wwhhhoooOOOOOO!!!!! My mum suggest that i take of my shoe cos i can feel the pedal much better w/o my shoes on. Well still hv some problem wif the so called "bitting point" always tend to press too hard on the accelerator. Sorry to those drivers behind me today :X Its my first time travelling so slowly.....less than 40km/h but i guess thats impt if nt i'll go *BANG* some tree gets knocks down and maybe killing some other guys pigeon haha

So much happened these few days,
in a good way of course, meeting old
friends again and realising how much
i actually miss them. But i guess i talk
about them again some other time
when i am more in the mood of blogging.

Finally decided on the mp3 player i'm
gonna get :) and its the...

Samsung YP-Z5 :D

Regarded by many audiophiles
as one of the better, if not best
mp3 player for sound quality,
better then even that of creative
or ipod players. ( No offence to
fans of these players, they are
great too ) Sound is of course
highly subjective to everyone
thus the 'best' player might not
be the best for you. I'll try it out
before i make the purchase.

Oh and another thing, if u juniors
did know it, i'm really proud of
how you guys are improving. Makes
me remember how it was like last
Dec, Nov period. Just that you guys
have double the amount of people

which is a good thing :)

I finally did 20km today, and i dun quite feel my butt and legs anymore. Didnt really go that fast today, decided to take it slow and juz clock the distance.

Well life's kinda boring now for me, now that ry's out of the picture, which is the sad truth but oh wells cant do anything abt it anyway. Still feeling kinda sad and depressed but i know all things work together for good, deep down inside me the still small voice is telling me God still has his plans for you. I thank God for what has happen to me, looking back i see myself change probably thats why God brought her into the picture, hopefully i made a positive impact on her life too. We are all still this piece of unfinished art, where God in order to perfect us, he has to cause chip(pain) us here and there, and polish(joy) us so that we can shine. Pastor Wee once said that life is like a series of moutain, u'll experience both ups and downs and is only natural, just that i didnt know my valley would be this deep. But at least i know i'll climb up the slope and reach the peak one day.

Well sometimes things in life do not always go as what u hv hoped for or what u had planned things out to be. In fact they may even turn out totally opposite of what u really wanted. When such things happen u can either choose to force things to bend to your will or juz accept the fact that you are just not in control of situations that happen. The former may work in some instances but in the process everyone involved might get hurt, now the latter, casulties would be definitely be much lesser. No doubt anyone will choose the latter, but still the aftermath sucks and the feeling is juz BAD.

Wonder why does it hv to be so tiring for me, but of cos i shldnt compare at all, besides everyones different, nt everyone is as dumb, lame, loud or slow as me. Probably thats why things appear the way they are now. I really need to learn how to put things down(na de qi yao hui fang de xia), probably just need time off to just let things filter out of my mind and heart. "Whatever your choice is, i'm fine with it as long as it makes u happy :)" I wouldnt say that its a sign of my maturity or whatsoever, but just that i remember some lessons in life well enough to be able to even make this statement. Once again things don't always go the way u want it to be, God might just shut he door in front of your face hard till it becomes very painful, but still He'll always open another door and redirect you somewhere else. Really do need some comforting....... But at the end of the day i just have to pick myself up and carry on walking this perilous journey we call life, cos no one will be there and take pity on u, and wldnt understand well what u're going thru and might simply comment "just move on lah!". Well the sad side of humanity, is that we are selfish beings, but only some are making the effort to be selfless.

Why am i such a coward? Why am i so afraid of things, why am i afraid to take charge of things and face the outcome rather than just waiting for it to happen to me. I need to be bolder, but looking back it seems like thats how i have led my life this past 18 years. Always being shy, and afraid to even face the music, or simply just afraid to even ask things perhaps it is because i hv an inferiority complex, where i do not feel that i possess any form of authority nor even have the looks of it, and although i know such things are nt important, inside i always seem to feel that people are despising me, or afraid that i may actually sound absurd in front of those who seem to be experts of their charge. Truth is we are all learning, and although the truth hurts sometimes or in my life most of the times, theres alot more for me to learn and change. But how??

Yes! Today is of course Standard Chartereds
Half marathon day! Its the day me and ren has
been waiting and training ( disgustingly little, i
blame the A levels, and thus the education
system ) for! It was really a nice run :)
though it was really unfortunate that ren's
knee injury prevented us from doing our best.
It was really agonizing, even for me to see ren
struggle with each step. Imagine your every
step killing you... yucks, i'm not even sure if
i can complete the run, especially when we are
half way in the race. so R-E-S-P-E-C-T for ren!

On the way, we saw Henry running past, it
and it really made me feel that i am so...
inadequate' in my passion for the things i
love. Henry who? Its Henry Wanyoike!
the famous blind marathon runner of
course. The ex world champion runner.
How depressing it must to suddenly lose
everything when you have worked so hard
to be at the top of your league. I believe
i can never be like him, pursuing his
passion despite his disabilities. I can't
even imagine being blind. Deaf, mute,
maybe... but blind?

so.. Yeah! I'm happy! proud of running
with Ren, his determination to finish
inspired me greatly :)

Yes today I not only experienced the
half marathon, but also a hidden endurance
test thoughfully provided by the organisers.

It look us a whole hour and a half just to finally
get your bags. And even when we were at the
counter, we had to wait for like 15minutes for our
bag. Hello? no wonder the queue was so slow, 15
minutes for a bag? and we were at like only 20m
from the counter to being with. When me and ren
finally got our bags, the queue has increased 5 or 7
folds. God know how long it took them to get
their bags. I pity them at the thought of it. :(

The only compliments was the cute little girl looking
for our bags. haha :D

Hey guess what, the run wasn't really bad, lolx.
While i'm typing this now, i dont feel any aches,
and also right after the race, i didnt really feel
shagged out. haha

Another great day on the whole :D
(to motivate runners, 'Run your Own race' ought to be
change to 'Run For YOur Life' as recommended by the
secretly smart Lucas)

Other then that, this holidays it the most
enjoyable i had up till this point. Everyday
is filled with activities and i get to do all
the stuff i never had the time to really
get to, like visiting vivo city at 10.30pm
or gaming through the whole night without
sleeping.

Although i did waste 2 WHOLE days fixing
my virus infected com ( there were 251
infected files and took 3 different anti
virus software to clear them and lots of
plugging in and out of hardware :(
I'm happy cause i didnt have to reformat
my com and i saved all my files. So the effort
was worth it. Yep!

So much to do so little time!

Went to suntec to collect my race pack
with Yiren. They were having a sports
expo too. Saw so many AC crossers and
trackers today at the venue too! Its always
nice to see AC pals :)

Got new Newbalance running shorts. But

Oh yeah, somehow, think i must look

taking the escalator down to suntec,
this guy who was not doing anything
suddenly passed me a brochure...

Wow, i guess i'm really feeling the
improvement in my running.
Since my last 18k run i did really run
much, doing at most 10 minute runs.
Then just now i was feeling kinda
bored so i decided to go for a run.
I ran my normal 6k + route along
west coast highway just like before.
Its my normal running route which
i usually clock about 30-35 minutes
with me totally shacked out at the end
of the run. I kinda wanted to take things
easy today, so i ran at my "assumed" 21k
pacing. Thoughout the whole run, i just
felt so comfortable and relaxed. i hardly
felt any stress on my body and my
breathing was quite slow. At the end
of the whole run, i actually felt so good
that i wanted to run more. ( but i didnt
of course ). Guess what? i clocked 30
minutes, nothing impressive, but it
really just felt like and extended warmup
run :)

And i feel happier and more relaxed already : D

another mark for me today,
I completed 18km on the treadmill
in 1hr 35 mins. Wanted to complete it
actually but decided against it as i was
feeling the strain. No point pushing
myself too hard when my body is not
really ready yet. And form of injury
now would be disasterous :(

Anw Danny got kinda interested that
the person in the MV i posted
( kim jong kook) is the rumored girlfriend
to Eun Hye, the the female lead in Goong,
or princess hours. It actually begain
when both of them were regulars in a
game show called X-man. Where they
are coupled together almost everytime.
Its really hilarious and i was addicted to it

I don't really know what to think now...
I miss school terribly :(
not the building actually, but the people.
I miss everything, jumping on the sink,
eating chicken rice secretly under the desk
during tutorials, ridiculous jokes in class,
sleeping everywhere, playing sodoku
for 1 week straight, looking at pretty
girls, talking weird stuff to the canteen
uncles and aunties, really cool teachers
climbing fences, gates and windows,
and so many more unmentionable, ridiculous stuff.
This is the second time I felt this way...
The first was leaving the team and joining
the alumni... Sigh

its such a confusing feeling, and I didn't even feel
this way when I left my secondary school or
primary school.

I really didn't even feel like leaving school on the
last day. We just hung around... Talking
and playing pranks.

Will I ever be able to relieve these 2 years
ever again?

Somehow I feel that the chain of events that
led me to this school is pre destined, and
I'm forever thankful for it... But till now,
I still cant settle down. Something still
twirling in my heart...

I must admit though, that i had pretty bad
grades these 2 years, but i really feel that
i have gained so much more, especially from
canoeing. I'll never ever regret these years,
and i really think i can honestly and truthfully
tell myself, that is 2 years are the best ever
in my life. (I dont want to grow old :( i dont
want to leave school )

I guess I'll pop down to school tomorrow.
Maybe I'll feel better.

HI people! haven been here quite some time :(
Finally ran today after such a long time!
no no, no in the haze! in the gym :)
The last time i ran it was so demoralising
cause i died out really badly after 1 hour.

Hi Guys! I am trying to organise a Ultimate Frisbee
game this coming weekend for us to chill
out a little and look forward to something.
I know some of you guys would probably
think that i am mad considering As is in like a
month's time. But like many ACsians i believe
in studying hard and playing hard! So please
leave me a message if you are interested
either via an sms, an email or a tag on the
chatbox. If I have enough people ( about 14
for a basic team of 2 ) i'll update you guys on
more information. There is nothing to prepare,
and i'll settle all the things we need. And feel
free to join in even if you are not an AC student,
its NOT supposed to be an acjc outing. Neither
are there gonna be pro players in the game!
Ultimate frisbee is choosen as it is a non
contact sport ( not likely to break your limbs
before As ) and that both guys and girls can
play :D

It will not proceed in the event that there are
not enough people.

Oh, and venue is likely to be at west coast park.

Last friday was the longest wait i ever
had for a bus ride :( Protein said he
wanted to take the long route back so
we decided to take 196 to clementi from
school. We waited for AN HOUR until
196 came. We were so bored we started

There seems to be an islandwide breakdown
of singnet broadband connection. Was badly
affected by this for quite a few hours until
connection improved half an hour ago. Still
cant access messenger though...
So fustrating as i was intending to download
all my songs at a higher bit rate. My Grados
are spoiling me :( It brings out the flaws in a song
with a lower 128 bit rate which would normally
hardly be detectable on most earphones or
headphones.

I love this little baby! these mini headphones are one
mean machine! These AKGs has an added bass
boost that makes a bass lover like me very happy :D
i love the lows and mids, but the highs are slightly weak
plus the bass also aids in muffling the highs slightly.
The semi isolation cup design means that i am quite
protected from the hussle and bustle of the outside
environment and can enjoy my music :D Then make
however is not that impressive. The headband is just a
piece of metal and the parts are mostly of plastic. As
seen on the pic above, i snapped one side of the plastic
holder( have not contacted Asia Sounds for warrenty
services) and secured with with tape. But still, this

After getting it, I tried it out on the train. Immediately I notice that open air system is suffering from the noise from the surroundings as noise leaks in. The cups provide minimal isolation and they are some sponge material. The make of the headphones is of course far superior than that of the AKG K26p though it is bigger. When I tried out the headphones, I just love the highs so much as it is super clear! The bass is significantly lower then that of the AKGs and since I am using the lousy Shuffle which I am unable to switch the bass boost. That caused some bustard's to me. But all in all, in a quieter environment, the SR80s are far superior than that of my little brother. After I burn it in more, I'm sure its gonna sounds great! Oh and this is goggling the battery like Mad!

Gymed with Eugene in the morning over at my
house today, then Gery popped over at about 3
to do some chemistry and design the dragonboat
tee. Didn't manage to do much chem as the answers
provided by tys was really lousy. Gery then
proceeded to work on the tee. After working
for some time, Gery entertained herself by
posing as me and talked about stupid stuff
with Jueluo, then later with Rennie.

Dad popped home at about 5.45 and offered
to send us to tuition at protein's place so we
decided to have dinner at my place. Papa
bought 2 herbal chickens and I took 1 to share
with Grey...

This sure looks normal.....
Until u realise....

Yes, gery's bowl of rice is 3 times as much as
mine. And she cleared HALF of my rice
cooker :D And she said that it was less than what
she normally ate. LOL

We had tuition later and we headed down to
Holland for supper afterwards. The Katong
Laksa was really good! Though it wasn't
really filling when I shared it with Gery.
Got a packet of salmon in teriyaki sauce
Twisties and some drinks and camped
out at the hawker centre to chat for quite
sometime. Reached home at 11.45, and now
really tired. What a nice day it is today :D

I guess Desmond pretty much summed up
everything! It was a great day! And we
saw a lot of ex ACJC students :)

It was a really nice feeling to race again,
with the seniors, and with Audrey screaming
the echoes really really loudly throughout the
race! And it was nice to prove to people
that we can do it, especially since we heard
quite a few, not-so-encouraging comments.
Like, us being the "blackhorse" of the race,
many people being very skeptic about us
being able to perform and even a certain school
rower hoping we would be disqualified
because we didn't bring our own lifejackets.
(we had to use the big fat pink jackets *hehe)

Some of the happenings on that day.
1) The waves were really big at marina bay
2) All the girls screaming because Audrey
saw a grasshopper in the boat and the
boat tilted like mad
3) Racing with without buoys and a ending
point is a string with balloons
4) Rowing with stitches on your butt is
actually not that painful :) (and thank
goodness it didn't break or get infected)
5) Wearing your own medals on stage
is embarrassing
6) A dragonboat capsized
7) Softball is dangerous
8) Yiren has huge pockets, he hid 2 cans of
redbull in it.
9) Yiren still chooses "standard issue" clothes. LOL
10) Danny think the girl in brown shirt is cute.
I agree :D
11) Pink jackets are not that bad afterall
12) Yiren kept my paddle for me cause
my parents would kill me if they found
out I rowed with my stitches.
13) It was nice of Jeff, Michael and Enping
(nice haircut :D) to come down to
support us

Whoo hoo so happy today!! Able to row together as a senior team today, took part in the SMU jc invitational dboat race...and we WON!!!! We won njc and nyjc both schs send in 2 boats somemore and we were right stuck in the middle of them. haha Audrey earlier in the weeks said that we'll go very fast cause all of us are powered by OIL haha. The feeling was very good there was practically no stress at all we were all joking and crapping our way to the start line, on our way we did 2 starts the first one 6-10 onli and was freaking tiring haha. The waves were rather huge and all the boats had difficulty alining and there were no define lanes at all. When the siren went off wah was pulling for my life, suprisingly we were sorta in the lead when i notice it, i was soooo motivated to pull even harder...haha although i know its not our tradition to look out of the boat but cant help it and i know alot of the other seniors were looking out too ;) It was a real tight race all 5 boats were together at the start and soon onli 3 boats were at the front, the fight was between nyjc, ours and njc i could onli see nyjc and they kept going forward and backwards. Couldnt even see the finishing line lah it was marked by a set of balloons tied to a string in air.....

After rowing we stayed on for awhile for the prize presentation which had some damn dumb order. We went to bugis's swensons to eat and went shopping................................. soon audrey,xy and qiuyi left and the 5 of us went bugis street to shop. OH danny,just and jueluo went off earlier b4 even joining us for dinner, it was so dreadful walking and walking and walking i wouldnt be that bothered if there were some guys shop but almost none!! In the end or close to the end rennie and gerry went to icon, me lucy and protein were turn off by the height of icon building and went to yukee duck rice stall to eat duck noodles and crap haha

What an eventful day!!

Had my first running session with protein today,
and we managed a 1 hour run rather comfortably,
clocking about 11-12k.

Gery and Jueluo waited for us to finish to go out
together, but we were just too tired to want to go.

When home to rest after a great meal. My pa brought
me down to the clinic at orchard for the op to remove
the infected lump at 4. There were many patients
there, and we only managed to start the op at 6, as
I had to be scheduled last for the op.

I wasn't scared of the op, not like I was gonna get
slaughtered or anything, but I must be honest that
I was pretty nervous, since I am obviously no hero.
In fact I sort told the doc not to be surprised if I screamed
like mad.

It wasn't as bad as I thought, but the 2 jabs were excruciatingly
painful. Just imagine the feeling of having a jab, but instead of
1 second, try to make the pain period be about 5-7 seconds,
as he had to plunge it all the way to the infected area. And
he had to do it twice, so it adds up to about 12 seconds of pain :(
I didn't really feel much pain later, as I was under anesthetic,
but I could feel pretty much the whole procedure. Even
when he was cutting the open my flesh, hehe.

It was pretty cool as I could hear his conversation with
the nurse and feel what he was doing. The regular "Dab, Dab"
said by the doc to the nurse to clear the blood, the feeling
of the infected area being cut out bit by bit or the stitches.
It wasn't scary at all, not when you don't feel any pain.

I was honestly more concerned about my hunger, as my
tummy growled throughout the op.

I am no brave hero or anything, so i was quite surprised
that I didn't even yep once throughout the whole op. I was
even joking with the doc and asking what he was doing, all
while the whole op was in progress :)

Now I have tons of medication to take, creams,
anti biotics and painkillers ( I don't really feel any
pain now anyway ) :(

Gotta have to try to avoid sports for about 2 weeks..
Now that's worst then the op. Dang.

Went down today again, with Gery, Protein, DanDan
and of course Desmond. Rowed during the first shift
which was the girl's shift again. I really felt happy with
the girl's performance as I could see that they all
improved greatly in such a short period of time. The
only thing I am worried about is their physical strength
which seems to be lacking. But i am very confident that
they can improve, especially during the seniors training
period.

Didn't really notice the guys much today as I left early
but I heard from others that they are doing quite fine :)

Oh, Guoxi and Derek, work mighty hard with your C
crafts, I hope to see you guys sprint down the lanes
real soon!

The rain was really heavy today, and it wasn't much point
in changing out of our wet clothes anyway as we were
soon drenched :(

I just realised something... My op is tomorrow...
I hope my stitches don't break on Saturday...
Yikes.

Went down to row today, after some inconsistent trainings find my endurance improving. But sadly i seem to be going slower, either that or Bill is just getting faster by the end of the lap he was like almost 400m in front of me. I'd like to tink that it's the latter, means that i'm not that bad....HAHA

Prelims are sorta over for me, leaving onli chem paper 1 on tue, but well its MCQ haha. Everyone have a 25% chance of getting full marks ;) (a 25% chance of getting zero too) LOLX. Been joining the juniors to train on their trainings for some time, feel my body getting weaker already. Now that i have alot of free time, gonna start water training proper. Have a prog that i intend to follow, i probably gotta feel the same dumb feeling in nov/dec last yr. Trying to correct my stroke now, but still need some fine tuning. Gotta work on my balance too getting abit koyak while trying to place a pause in the stroke. Ah wells hope everything goes fine shall take this as a break b4 the As really come haha.

All the best for the juniors as they start to prepare for their promos. For those who are worried, relax....its not hard to get promoted. Even i can get promoted and u buggers are like all smarter than me so dun worry. Try not to get stress out for those who are already or on the verge i.e. ry........ And for those who are obviously not worried at all which i am sure there are some its time to get worried LOLX how contradicting HEHE
